Alum Spring ParkHeritage Trail
Alum Spring Park has numerous walking paths and a fitness trail.

Canal Path/Heritage Trail
This scenic paved pathway is 3.1 miles long and winds along the canal and the river. 

Dixon Park Trail
The 1.5 mile Jogging/ Walking Trail is a paved pathway that begins at the kiosk, and is marked to help you track your distance.

Motts Run Reservoir
Motts Run Reservoir is an 860 acre park that has over 4.5 miles of hiking trails. Mountain biking is allowed only on designated trails.

The Motts Run Orienteering Course was designed and built as an Eagle Scout Service Project by Zach Bailey (Troop 179) in the summer of 2003.  It consists of eight different courses:

Virginia Central Railway Trail
Work began in early summer on construction of the Virginia Central Railway (VCR) Trail. This ten foot wide and approximately 2.7 mile long asphalt trail will run from the eastern end of the Cobblestone development off Lafayette Boulevard out Lafayette Boulevard and across the Blue and Gray Parkway, then through Alum Spring Park and across Jefferson Davis Highway (Route 1) to a point near the Idlewild neighborhood, just east of I-95.

Fredericksburg Pathways Partners' mission is to support the planning, implementation, and administration and maintenance of a cohesive pathways system made up of trails, paths, bicycle lanes and routes, and sidewalks connecting neighborhoods and activity centers and facilitating movement by pedestrians and cyclists.
