2018 Art in the Park
at the Fredericksburg Farmers Market

Local artists and craftspeople share their handmade goods in the park in conjunction with the Farmers Market. Art in the Park is held the first and third Saturdays at the Farmers Market from 9:00am to 1:00pm. Hurkamp Park, 500 William Street, Fredericksburg. Free admission, be sure to stop by on your way through the farmers market!

September 25 - Storybook Day - Dress up as your favorite storybook character! DJ Gravattron will be spinning your favorite
kids’ tunes!

A Day of Opportunities Where Everyone Plays!

at the Dorothy Hart Community Center, 408 Canal St in Downtown Fredericksburg
FREE for special needs children, young adults and their families!

Join us for a day of adaptive play!  

This is a chance for special needs children and young adults to sample different recreational activities.  There will be play areas set up so visitors can play and see what types of activities interest them.  We will have both indoor and outdoor activities highlighting aquatics, sports, nature, recreation and much more.  

This is a day dedicated to children and young adults with special needs.  We will have information on future special needs programs that will be offered by Fredericksburg Parks, Recreation and Events.  Surveys will be available for input on what types of the programs the special needs community is looking for.

Creatures of the Night Hike

For 5yrs – Adult 
Grab your costumes and walking shoes and join us at the park for a nighttime hike for the whole family. We’ll look and listen for nighttime critters as we seek out trail side treats before returning to hot chocolate, a tasty cup of dirt with worms and a story. Please dress warmly and bring a flashlight! Pre-registration required for everyone. (Kids must attend with paying adult.) For information please call 540-372-1086.

To honor the contributions of our United States Veterans Procession Route: Along Washington Ave. From Mary Ball St. to George St. 

Public (family members and non-veterans) are invited to view the procession along Washington Avenue and then join the Veteran’s Day Commemoration at the Fredericksburg Area War Memorial (George St.). Free admission to the procession and the commemoration. Held rain or shine.

We have combined two great events to make a pet friendly fun time.  Start your holiday shopping with local vendors at the Bazaar.  Bring your dog and/or cat to enjoy a pet perfect holiday party during the Bazaar.  

We will have pictures with Santa, holiday music and treats for both you and your fur baby.  We will have a pet holiday outfit contest and much more.  The proceeds will go to the Fredericksburg SPCA.  Vendor pre-registration is required. Call 540-372-1086.
