  1. Marine Corps Historic Half Events

    May 21, 2023, 4:00 AM - 11:00 AM

    The Marine Corps Historic Half Events are returning to the City of Fredericksburg on Sunday, May 21, 2023. This 13.1 mile run, and affiliated events, winds through portions of Central Park, Cowan Boulevard, Hospital Hill and Historic Downtown areas. Planned road closures are scheduled for Sunday, May 21st. This year events begin at 6:00 a.m. (an hour earlier) with street closures and parking restrictions affecting residents throughout the Fredericksburg area beginning at 4:00 a.m. until approximately 11:00 a.m., depending on your location. This year’s events have been moved forward one hour in order to open the roadways up earlier for FXBG residents and visitors. Please review the race map and plan ahead for the expected May 21st road closures. www.marinemarathon.com
