April 10, 2020 Update: Work continues on the replacement of the sanitary sewer interceptor system in the upper Caroline Street corridor. This is a major project that involves the replacement of two existing sewer mains that are well past their useful lifespan and are in poor condition. Both of the existing mains will be replaced with a single 21” sanitary sewer main that is upsized to meet future sewer demands. The $1.7M project is part of a PPEA water/sewer infrastructure improvement contract with W.C. Spratt, Inc. and is anticipated to be completed by summer of 2020.
