Arts Commission Accepting Partnership Grant Applications

Fredericksburg Arts Commission is now accepting FY20 Creative Communities
Partnership Grant Applications

The Fredericksburg Arts Commission announces its annual Creative Communities Partnership Grant opportunity for local non-profit arts organizations. Each year Fredericksburg City Council and the Fredericksburg Arts Commission work to bring this opportunity to the city with matching funds from the Virginia Commission for the Arts for the purpose of supporting the arts in our area. The cultural opportunities provided by local organizations who serve the arts and artists are important for creating vitality, community connectivity, and creative experiences for city residents and visitors alike. This grant is unique because art organizations may use these funds toward operational expenses, as opposed to specifying one project or event.

Any interested 501(c)(3) City-based arts organizations are invited to apply for this FY2020 VA Commission for the Arts Creative Communities Partnership Grant. Applications are available online at www.fredarts.com. Please submit completed applications no later than close of business Friday, March 1, 2019.

Submissions are sent to the attention of Kim Herbert at ksherbert@fredericksburgva.gov, by fax to 540-372-3475 or mail/deliver to the Dorothy Hart Community Center, 408 Canal Street, Fredericksburg, VA 22401. To find out more about this grant application or to get involved with local arts in our area, please visit www.fredarts.com or call 540-372-1086 ext. 307.
