In-Person Absentee Voting (early voting) begins September 22

In-Person Absentee Voting (early voting) begins on September 22, 2023. Voting will take place in the Office of Voter Registration and Elections, 601 Caroline Street, Suite 500, Monday through Friday from 8:30am -4:30pm. Saturday voting will take place October 28th and November 4th from 9am-5pm.  

Important dates for Absentee Voting:

  • September 22 in-person absentee voting (early voting) begins. Requested mail ballots, overseas ballots and military ballots are sent 
  • October 27 last day to request a ballot by mail or online. Requests must be made by 5pm 
  • November 4 last day of in-person early voting 
  • November 13 mailed ballots postmarked by Election Day (November 7) must be received by noon 

This election voters will choose a State Delegate to serve the 65th District and a State Senator to represent the 27th District.  Also on the Ballot is Mayor, City Council At-Large, School Board At-Large, Sheriff and Director of the Soil and Water Conservation District.  Sample Ballots and candidate information can be found at Fredericksburgva.gov/vote.   Requested a ballot by mail?
