Elections for Fredericksburg Mayor, City Council At-Large (2), and School Board At-Large (2) seats will be held on November 7, 2023. This is the first year that the election for these offices will be held in November, as opposed to May.  The General Assembly adopted legislation moving all local elections from May to November in 2021. In addition, the City will hold a special election for Sheriff this November, to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Paul Higgs.
