The City of Fredericksburg announces Veterans Day Events in downtown this year to honor the contributions of our United States Veterans. Veterans Day, which is held on Friday, November 11th, kicks off in downtown Fredericksburg with a Walking Procession starting at 10:00am. Visitors are invited to line the Washington Avenue Mall in time to watch the procession of veterans pass by from Memorial Park at Mary Ball Street down Washington Avenue to William and Barton Street. The procession will conclude at George Street at the site of the Fredericksburg Area War Memorial, where the traditional Veterans Day Ceremony will begin at 10:45am.
