New signage along Emancipation Highway will be installed this month. Please be on the lookout for our Fredericksburg Public Works crews throughout January as they install the new street signs along the U.S. Route 1 corridor within the city limits. Work is expected to take place over the next couple of weeks and is subject to weather conditions.
Street signs aren’t the only things being updated with this new street name. Everything from the U.S Post Office to the 911 database is being updated with new addresses for residents and businesses along Emancipation Highway (formerly Jefferson Davis Highway) in the 22401 zip code.
