[ARCHIVED] Fall Leaf Collection Update

Leaf newsflash

Fall Leaf Collection UpdateSnow and snowstorm remediation has caused crews to temporarily suspend seasonal loose leaf collection. When service resumes, they will work

in Sections 8 through 24 to complete second and final round. See Leaf collection page for more complete information https://va-fredericksburg2.civicplus.com/607/Leaf-Collection-Schedule  and sign up for FREDALERT www.fredericksburgalert.com to be notified of updates directly.

Leaf Collection operations are undertaken from approximately November 1 to approximately December 31 each year. Public Works vacuums unbagged leaves placed near the street by residents. Estimate how close we are to your area by clicking on the dated links on our website to see where we are currently collecting.

Removal of bagged leaves will be done at no charge only during leaf season. Citizens must call to request pick up of bagged leaves by leaf crew. Bagged leaves will not be collected with trash, and they cannot be stored on curb.

Bad weather, especially snow, can make collection take longer. For more information on leaf collection and the weekly schedule, please visit: https://www.fredericksburgva.gov/607/Leaf-Collection-Schedule or call Public Works at 540-372-1023.
