Site Plan Submission & Review / Approval
Site Plan Submission
A site plan application and applicable review fees need to be filed with the Site Plan upon submission to the City for review and approval. Site Plans are required to meet all the requirements per City Code (Unified Development Ordinance) Chapter 72 and are stamped when received and distributed to the department staff for review to include: Fire Department, Public Works, Zoning, Building Services, and the City Attorney when required. Comments will be sent to the applicant after the thirty (30) day review process from the departments, and approximately fourteen (14) days thereafter per resubmission.
Detailed information regarding the processes for Major and Minor Site Plans is available in the UDO Procedures Manual (PDF), Sections J and K.
Major Site Plan Application (PDF)
A Major Site Plan is a required submission for development where the land disturbance will be 2,500 square feet or greater, prepared and approved in accordance with the provisions of Section 72-26, Site Plan, which is a detailed engineering drawing of the proposed improvements required in the development of a property.
Minor Site Plan Application (PDF)
A Minor Site Plan is a required submission for development where the land disturbance will be less than 2,500 square feet. Minor Site Plans are not required to incorporate detailed engineering drawings but may consist of a sketch or simple drawing depicting a lot or site, existing built aspects, and a depiction of buildings or site features to be constructed.
