Our office serves the citizens of the City of Fredericksburg and the Commonwealth of Virginia to provide fair and honest elections in accordance with the Code of Virginia by providing easy and readily available access to registration and casting of votes within election laws and guidelines.
November 3, 2020 General Election
Election for President of the United States of America, US Senate, and US House of Representatives
All voters qualify to vote by-mail absentee. If you wish to vote by mail, you may submit your applications now. Link to online application: HERE. You must have a Virginia issued Drivers License to apply online.
Absentee Ballots for the November 3, 2020 Election will begin to be mailed out the week of September 16, 2020 and continuously through the application deadline October 23, 2020.
Friday, September 18 Early Voting begins in the Registrar’s office
Tuesday, October 13 Last day to register/update registration and vote in the November 3 election
Friday, October 23 at 5:00 p.m. Last day to request an absentee ballot be mailed to you
Saturday, October 24 8:30am-4:30pm Early voting in the Registrar’s office
Monday-Saturday, October 26-October 31 8:30-am-4:30pm Early voting in the Registrar’s office
Tuesday, November 3 Election Day Polls will be open from 6:00am-7:00pm
