The Fredericksburg Resource Families Foster to Adopt program is based on a concurrent planning model. Concurrent planning involves resource families committing to reunification of the child(ren) to the biological family, while also committing to adopt the child(ren) if reunification cannot occur. For more information, contact Beajor Stoddart-Johnson at (540) 372-1032, extension 241.
Foster care is temporary substitute care arranged for children who are separated from their families due to abuse and/or neglect. Through the Fredericksburg Department of Social Services, Fredericksburg Resource Families offers a Foster to Adopt program if children are unable to return home.
