The deputies work in the courts and are responsible for the security of the Courthouse.
Their duties include the protection of life and property for judges, court personnel, attorneys, citizens and prisoners. They are responsible for operation of the metal detector at the entrance of the courtroom. They make sure court proceedings take place in a safe and orderly manner.
The following procedures will be adhered to at the City of Fredericksburg Court Buildings.
All persons entering the buildings are subject to search and will walk through the magnetometer. Some visitors may be subject to further search.
The Sheriff's Office and the Clerk's Office will not be responsible for or hold any cellular phones or any other property.
