COVID-19 Current Operating Status

  1. Dorothy Hart Community Center – The DHCC is open and citizens are allowed in the lobby to conduct business. Program participants are permitted in the building during programs (waiting area in the lobby remains closed). Parks, Recreation and Events Office Staff continues to be available in person by appointment, by phone 540-372-1086 and by email on Monday - Friday, 8:30am to 4:00pm. Citizens may continue to wear masks if they choose. The DHCC will be available for rental beginning on August 16, 2021.  
  2. Rentals of Parks During COVID, park rentals were available with reduced capacities and a limit of only one rental per space per day. Beginning July 1, 2021 capacity restrictions are lifted and shelter rentals have returned to two per day (9am – 1pm; and 3pm – 7pm)  Please call 540-372-1086 or email for more information.
  3. All trails, parks and public restrooms are open for public use.
