Victim / Witness Program

The Fredericksburg Victim/Witness Assistance Program was established in 1986 to assist crime victims and witnesses through the judicial process. Located in the Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney, the purpose of our program is to ensure that victims and witnesses receive fair and compassionate treatment while participating in the court system. Our program is funded both through the City of Fredericksburg and through a grant provided by the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services.

If you have questions about the court process or your rights as a victim/witness of crime, please contact our staff at 540-372-1040 or at tmharvey@fredericksburgva.gov.
