Update on the Botanical Garden Area in Cossey Park

Fredericksburg Parks, Recreation and Events and the Virginia Cooperative Extension co-operate an area in Cossey Park that is currently named the Cossey Botanical Garden.  In 2023 an advisory panel of knowledgeable community members was created to help plan for the future of this open botanical garden area. They worked jointly with PRE and VCE on creating a plan that includes a mission statement,  short and long-term goals, and objectives. These were presented to the public in an open forum on October 26, 2023 at Dorothy Hart Community Center.
