Due to COVID-19, the Women-Only Self Defense classes are postponed until further notice.
The Women-Only Self-Defense course focuses on physical defense and ways to avoid potential attacks. Participants will learn the proper technique for punching and kicking as well as escape techniques. The course is instructed by members of the Fredericksburg Police Department and offered throughout the year. All instructors are certified through the Rape Aggression Defense Systems, an organization internationally recognized for programming quality and its commitment to excellence.
Classes are held at the Police Department Headquarters, which is located at 2200 Cowan Boulevard, Fredericksburg, VA 22401. Classes are from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The cost for each course is $15 for City residents and $25 for non-City residents. The registration fee must be paid at the time of enrollment.
