Graffiti Cleanup

Staff from the Department of Parks, Recreation and Events are working to remove graffiti along the Fredericksburg side of the Rappahannock River, at an area known as Sitting Rock. Application of a soybean based, biodegradable graffiti remover and power washing proved to be an effective combination. The safety for the surrounding environment, river and employees was a high priority.

The next phases of the project include Diving Rock and Ficklen Island areas. These areas are along the Charles Street and Riverside Drive areas of the Heritage Trail.
