Qualifications:
  • United States citizenship
  • Age 18, on or before the next general election
  • Legal Resident of Virginia having domicile and a place of abode in Fredericksburg City at the time of registration
  • Have not been convicted of a felony or adjudicated mentally incompetent (or right to vote has been restored)

When May I Register?
All year except 29 days prior to a general or primary election.

Where May I Register?
Registrar's Office, Division of Motor Vehicles, by mail, government agencies, the public library, and discretionary agencies or print this online form. If you are not a resident of Virginia, use the National Mail Voter Registration form.

Temporary Residents:
National voter registration applications are available for residents of other sates, but residing here temporarily, who want to vote an absentee ballot from their state of legal domicile.
