Public Meeting
Regional Transportation Plan 2035
En español, clic aquí >>
It is a critical time for our region as we develop a long range plan that will identify transportation improvements needed to meet future growth. Fredericksburg Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (FAMPO), the region’s transportation planning organization, has begun work on the 2035 Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) that will establish principles, policies, and recommendations designed to improve transportation mobility throughout our area, and to support economic vitality and enhanced quality of life. Our region has seen tremendous growth and we’ve taken a hard look at the transportation system and made recommendations to meet the needs based on forecasted growth while taking into account land use and community development factors.
An important component of the planning process includes discussion with citizens and other stakeholders about their transportation vision. We invited everyone to join us for public meetings in October held in Stafford, Spotsylvania, Fredericksburg, Caroline and King George. The working documents are available for review online at 2035 Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) Overview .
