Farmers Market
Farmers Market salesThe Fredericksburg Farmer’s Markets at Hurkamp Park and Mayfield Neighborhood are open air markets where home grown, homemade, or home baked goods are sold by farmers and bakers.

Year round sales are permitted at the Hurkamp Park Farmer’s Market (located around Hurkamp Park - the Prince Edward and George Street sides) at the following times:
  • Monday to Saturday: 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Sunday: 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Most vendors participate during the growing season of April through October. Saturdays mornings are our most popular and busiest time.

Products sold at Hurkamp Park include vegetables, fruits, meats, cheeses, breads, baked goods (ingredients must be grown or processed by the farmer), plants, flowers, dried flowers, herbs, Christmas items (during the season), and more. This is a general list. Items vary depending on the vendor’s availability and seasonal influences.

The Mayfield Neighborhood Market started in August 2013, is open Thursdays from 3:30pm to 6:30pm, May through October. It is at the corner of Dixon and Tyler Streets.  Produce and flowers/plants are available at this market.

We’ve partnered with other markets in our region to promote our mission of Buy Fresh, Buy Local. We are proud to announce that we will be continuing to accept EBT/SNAP (food stamps) at the market this year, thanks to a grant from the Virginia Department of Social Services.

Check out the Regional Farmers Market website. We will have information on Farmers Markets in Fredericksburg, Spotsylvania, and King George, which will include helpful tips, produce schedules, spotlights on vendors, and maybe even some yummy recipes. We look forward to another successful market season.
