Why not consider adopting more kids?
December 2, 2008

Recently, my family and I went to a ceremony and party celebrating National Adoption Day. My family and our two adopted girls listened to a speaker who had been adopted talk about how adoption changed his life for the better.

It got me thinking about all the great things that adoption can do for the child and the adoptive family. It offers a home with loving parents to a child who may have never experienced that before.

My two little sisters are a great addition to our already crazy family. Their laughter can light up a room. Without the Fredericksburg Department of Social Services, our family would not have been complete. Their training to prepare us for our bundles of joy was helpful. Their diligence throughout the process was fantastic. They even celebrated with us as the adoptions were finalized.

I would encourage you to open your hearts and home to a foster child, and if you are lucky, you'll get to adopt them.
