Cable Television Commission
Cox PEG Channels Shift Location Effective August 19, 2015
The Schools/Education channel is now channel 83. The Government channel is now channel 84 and the Public access channel is now 85. To view these channels, customers will need a digital receiver, CableCARD or ClearQAM tuner. See Cox service update letter for more details.


Specific details on the Cable Commission can be found in the City Code at Sections 10-131 through 10-133.

Purpose
  • To review and make recommendations to City Council on cable franchise agreements.
  • To hear cable subscriber complaints and assist in resolving them.

Members
The Commission consists of five voting members—a City Manager representative, a school system representative, and three residents of the City. The Library designates a sixth ex-officio nonvoting member.
