Basic Requirements for Vendors Cooking
107.1 Permits required. Permits may be required by the fire official as permitted under the SFPC in accordance with Table 107.2,
LP-gas. An operational permit is required for: 1. Storage and use f LP-gas.
308.3.3 Location near combustibles. Open flames such as from candles, lanterns, kerosene heaters, and gas-fired heaters shall not be located on or near decorative material or similar combustible materials.
3804.3 Container location. Containers shall be located with respect to buildings, public ways, and lot lines of adjoining property that can be built upon, in accordance with Table 3804.3. (Minimum of 10 feet)
906.5 Conspicuous location. Extinguishers shall be located in conspicuous locations where they will be readily accessible and immediately available for use. These locations shall be along normal paths of travel, unless the fire code official determines that the hazard posed indicates the need for placement away from normal paths of travel. (Extinguisher minimum size is 3A-40B-C and must have a current inspection tag).
2403.2 Approval required. Tents and membrane structures having an excess of 900 square feet (19 m2) and canopies in excess of 400 square feet (37 m2) shall not be erected, operated or maintained for any purpose without first obtaining a permit and approval from the fire code official.
2404.16.2.1 Containers 500 gallons or less. Portable LP-gas containers with a capacity of 500 gallons (1893 L) or less shall have a minimum separation between the container and structure not less than 10 feet.
3003.3.3 Securing compressed gas containers, cylinders and tanks. Compressed gas containers, cylinders and tanks shall be secured to prevent falling caused by contact, vibration or seismic activity.
