Circuit Court Building

Located at 815 Princess Anne Street. The Circuit Court was built in 1851, renovated in 1950 and again in 1990.

City Attorney & General District Court

Located at 615 Princess Anne Street. The General District Court building was built in 1973 and is located across the street from the downtown Post Office. Information Technology and City Attorney Offices are located here as well.

City Hall
Located at 715 Princess Anne Street. City Hall was built in 1910 and served as the local Post Office. It was renovated in 1982. The Building houses the Mayor’s Office, City Council Chambers, the City Council Clerk’s office, the City Manager’s Office, Human Resources, Planning & Zoning Offices, the Commissioner of the Revenue and Real Estate Office, the Treasurer, Utility Billing, Fiscal Affairs, Public Works, and Building & Development Services.

Commonwealth Attorney & Sheriff’s Office
Located at 513 Prince Edward Street. The Commonwealth Attorney prosecutes criminal charges. The Sheriff’s Office serves civil papers and deputies serve in all of the Courts.

Dorothy Hart Community Center

Located at 408 Canal Street. Home to Parks, Recreation and Public Facilities Department.

Executive Plaza

Located at 601 Caroline Street
The Executive Plaza was constructed in 1974 and is home to the Administration and Prevention Offices of the Fire Department, Voter Registrar and the Parking Office which oversees the Parking Garage (see below).
Fire Station #1
Located at 601 Princess Anne Street. Built in 1973.
Fire Station #2
Located on Altoona Drive. Built in 1988.
Fred Central Bus Station
Located at 1400 Jefferson Davis Highway, and is home to our Transit Office.

Gateway Sign

The Gateway Sign, for the City of Fredericksburg is located at the intersection of Route 1 and Route 3 in the City. The City developed and maintains this site as a Fraternal and Service Organization sign place. Local Fraternal Organizations and Service Organizations may purchase a spot on the Sign. Interested parties should contact Parks, Recreation & Public Facilities at (540) 372-1086. In addition to the well maintained sign location, the Organization also gets, as part of the purchase price, their meeting date and time information posted on this website and available through the Parks, Recreation & Public Facilities voice mail system.
Juvenile & Domestic Relations Court

Located at 705 Princess Anne Street. The Court is located in this former funeral home that was constructed in 1939 and partially renovated in 2006.

Parking Garage

Located at 601 Sophia Street. The Parking Garage was built in 2005 to address the parking concerns of the downtown area. The Parking Garage is accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The garage will be served by a parking attendant: Monday through Friday (7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.); Saturday (8:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.); and Sunday/Holidays (9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.).
The Parking Office oversees the operation of the Parking Garage and is located in the Executive Plaza building (see above).
