Art in the Park

Hurkamp Park

This is your chance to purchase a space at the Expanded Fredericksburg Farmer's Market and sell your artwork. A perfect opportunity for artists to get out in the community. The Expanded Farmers Market closes Prince Edward St. and allows has more vendors, great products, and more space to shop! All work must be the original fine art or craft by the exhibiting artist. Mediums accepted are ceramics/pottery, graphics/printmaking, painting, jewelry, photography, drawing/pastels, metal, sculpture, fiber/leather, mixed media, wood, and glass. Download the entry form here.

Picnic in the Park is back and ready to bring the fun! Bring the kids and head over to Hurkamp Park for this awesome lunch concert. We have great children's activities, live entertainment, Touch-a-Truck and FREE FAMILY FUN. Fredericksburg Soap Box Derby 

June 1st, 2013   Races start at 8:30am

William St. Hill - Downtown Fredericksburg

Calling all racers! The 17th Annual Soap Box Derby will be held on June 1st down William St. hill. Kids ages 9-17 race down William St in their gravity powered cars vying for a chance to win a trip to the Nationals in Akron, OH. Prizes, food and fun await those who attend.  Deadline to enter is April 26th. This is an historic event not to be missed! Children's Art Expo

Do you have a little Picasso or Van Gogh at home? If so, this is theweekend for them. The Art Expo was designed to foster children’simagination, creativity and love for the arts. No artistic experiencenecessary, just a love for all things messy.  FREE Admission and some art activities are free. Others cost .25 up to$1.00.
