The Fire Department has been tasked with the responsibility of Emergency Management for The City of Fredericksburg.  The Fire Chief was designated as Coordinator of Emergency Management and the Deputy Chief was designated as Deputy Coordinator of Emergency Management. 

 

Emergency Management comprises organized analysis, planning, decision making, and assignment of available resources to mitigate, prepare for, respond to, and recover from the effects of “all hazards”.

 

Some Areas of Responsibilities for Emergency Management include:
