   City of Fredericksburg

Kalahari Resort and Conference Center

Kalahari Resorts is bringing a wave of excitement to Fredericksburg and the Mid-Atlantic region, pending City approvals and final agreement of terms. The nation's leading innovator in waterpark resort development announced plans to embark on a $200 million indoor waterpark/resort/event complex in the Celebrate Virginia tourism district of Fredericksburg.

This webpage is dedicated to making all of the information the City has available on the new Kalahari Resort project accessible to the public. A public hearing and prior City Council meetings have already been held, and links to the minutes for those meetings and/or public hearings will be listed below as they become available. Also included is a link to a presentation by the City Economic Development Director at the January 15, 2008, Public Hearing, as well as the Ordinance establishing the Tourism Zone at Celebrate Virginia.
