Organized Event Umbrella License

Promoters and sponsors of organized events in the City of Fredericksburg may qualify to obtain an umbrella license for all of the merchants and vendors at your event. Read Section 70-405 Itinerant Merchants (under Chapter 70, Article VIII, and Division 3) in the City Code for details. You must file an Organized Event Merchant/Vendor form and pay ten (10) days prior to the event. Please note, meals and admissions taxes may apply to your event.

If your event does not qualify for the umbrella license, or the umbrella license event forms are not filed by the deadlines, each vendor or merchant will be responsible for paying for a separate business license.

For information regarding the organized event forms, or other business license applications, please call (540) 372-1004 for details.
