TRAFFIC AFFECTED BY  UTILITY WORK FOR NEW COURTHOUSE

  •  

  • On Wednesday, May 1, motorists should expect construction activity in the 700 block of Princess Anne Street.

     

  • The right parking lane and right thru-lane will be closed to traffic and will remain closed for approximately 1 week in order to facilitate the installation of underground utility infrastructure in the street.   The utility work is related to the new courthouse project.

     

  • After construction work is completed on the right side of the street, the right thru-lane and parking lane will be reopened to traffic and the left thru-lane will then be closed for utility work.  The left lane closure is anticipated to last 2 – 3 days

     

  • Motorists are advised to use caution while traveling through the work zone. 

 

 

 

 

Columbia Gas Downtown 2013 Infrastructure Improvement Project
Beginning April 22, 2013, Columbia Gas will begin upgrading the natural gas infrastructure in downtown Fredericksburg.  This natural gas infrastructure modernization project will take approximately 6 months to complete.
