Cable Television Commission

Commission: 

Code of Virginia Sec. 15.2-2108 et seq.
City Council Code, Section 10-131 through 10-133 as amended

Purpose: 

The purpose of the cable television commission is to review cable franchise agreements and make recommendations to City Council regarding these franchise agreements and hear subscriber complaints.

Membership: 

Six members, three members to be city residents.  One member shall be a city manager representative, one member shall be a school system representative, and one member should be the Library Director or designated rep shall be ex-officio non-voting member.  Other 3 members shall be city residents and be appointed to 3 year terms.  One city resident should have expertise in the cable television field and Chairperson shall be selected from 1 of the 3 city residents.

Meetings:

Meetings will be held every other month on the third Thursday at City Hall Conference Room, Located at 715 Princess Anne Street, Fredericksburg, VA  22401.

This Board does not meet regularly. Please contact the Planning Department before planning to attend a meeting.
