Fire Station 2, the Samuel E. Perry Fire Station, was erected in 1988 in the newly annexed portion of the City.  The station was rightfully named for a very active and loyal member of the Fredericksburg Volunteer Fire Company and active member of the community, Samuel E. Perry.

Station 2 is centrally-located within the City of Fredericksburg.  It is just off Route 3 (Plank Rd.) with access to U.S. Route 1 (Jefferson Davis Hwy.) and Interstate 95; major arteries of the city.  Station 2 also provides protection to the bustling and rapidly expanding Central Park. The station is staffed 24-hours a day with one Engine (Engine 2).  One ALS transport unit (Medic 2) is staffed out of this station Monday thru Friday from 5:30am to 6:00pm. Station 2’s proximity to such high traffic areas of the city creates challenges of safety and response for those who call it their home away from home.
